• What does a typical service look like?

Our Sunday morning service begins at 10:45 AM following Sunday School at 9:30 AM.

When arriving, all are greeted in the foyer and given a bulletin, and parents can sign their children into Children's Church.

The First Baptist Church of Moffat follows a traditional Baptist service, with singing of hymns and ministry in Word by our pastor. Children are dismissed to Children's Church following the first song.

An evening worship service is available at 5:00PM.

  • Is there a dress code?

No! Our church is come as you are. We do encourage respectable attire for Sunday service (no revealing clothing or offensive graphics), but you are welcome to dress as casual or formal as you'd like!

  • What activities are there for my children?

Every Sunday, during AM service, children are dismissed to Children's Church to have fun and learn about Jesus and the Bible in an age appropriate way. Teachers are available in the front of the foyer to sign in your children and answer any questions you may have.

Teens have the option of joining our Teen Bible Study group, Sundays from 9:30AM-10:30AM, where they can come together to dive deeper into the Bible, apply the teachings to their lives, as well as connect to other teens through Faith.

The church also hosts annual events for our children, such as VBS, Back to School Bash and Trunk or Treat.

  • How do I join?

Applications for church membership are available to fill out in the foyer of our church. You can also ask our pastor or deacons and they can help you!

If you are wishing to join and be baptized, please speak to our Pastor.

No! All are welcome to join us in worship!

Non-members may not hold positions in the church or vote on church business, but are more than welcome to participate in missions, fellowship meals, Sunday School classes, prayer breakfasts, and other events hosted by the church.

  • How can I get involved?

    Weddings

The Christian marriage is a biblical institution established by God as described by Scripture. We believe biblical marriage can only occur between one biologically born and presenting male human being and one biologically born and presenting female human being, under the Lordship of Christ for a lifetime of monogamous commitment.

The Christian marriage ceremony is one of the most sacred moments in the life of any couple. It is a service of worship before God between one man and one woman, normally conducted within the house of God. It is not a gala social event, rather, it is a religious ceremony in which one man and one woman invoke the blessings of God in holy wedlock. Reverence shall be expected on the part of all present and the service shall be under the sole direction of the pastor of First Baptist Church Moffat.

The church is available for both members and non-members for the wedding ceremony and reception. Please call the church office at (254)986-2377 at least two (2) months in advance to schedule the date and time, as well as to pick up and discuss the wedding policy packet and paperwork.

    Funerals

    Other Events

The Fellowship Hall is available to rent for other events such as baby showers, birthday parties, etc. following Church approval. Under no circumstances shall any property of First Baptist Church Moffat be used for commercial or profit making purposes. Non-members are subject to fees for rental of the Fellowship Hall.

Please contact the Church office no later than two (2) weeks before the event to approve and schedule the event. Paperwork will also be required and available to sign at the Church office.
